Although the EPA already issued their letter reiterating findings that the project would impact Aquatic Resources of National Importance, we felt that it was necessary to correct the record and point out the errors and omissions in the project description sent to the EPA by the Army Corps.

Since the EPA is not directly involved in the permit review process it relies on information suppied by the Army Corps of Engineers to understand the status of the project and any changes which have been made by the applicant.  The letter below corrects the most glaring errors in the Army Corps letter, which was sent to the EPA on May 22, 2024.
