The letter below was received by Save Coral Bay from the Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources.  This letter confirms that the CZM Permit issued to the Summers End Group in December 2020 is “null and void” because Summers End failed to commence development within one year and failed to ask for an extension.

The letter states that SEG may ask for an extension “for good cause” which would need to be approved by the St John CZM Committee.  In our opinion there is no “good cause” for reinstating a permit which expired almost four years ago.
