The history of the efforts by the Summers End Group to obtain a Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management permit for their Coral Bay mega marina began, officially, in April 2014, and those efforts continue to this day. Although a permit was issued in January 2021, there are still multiple lawsuits pending in Virgin Islands Superior and Virgin Islands Supreme Court surrounding this CZM permit and the methods by which it was obtained.
