Save Coral Bay Moves Into High Gear

With the BLUA appeal filed, we found some space to begin large-scale public outreach.  We knew that the Army Corps public comment period would soon open and we had limited time to notify the public, reach out to local and national organization, coordinate petitions and letter writing, and generally inform everyone what was happening.

We were blessed with the talents of local artist Daniel Pinto who provided an endless stream of motivational graphics, of the highest caliber.  There are far too many to show on one page, but this slideshow is a sample of his work and  a full gallery of Daniel’s graphics may be found here – the artwork of Daniel J Pinto.

We had bumper stickers, and temporary tattoos and keychains.  We had real fortune cookies with Save Coral Bay messages inside.  We had online petitions, in person petitions, and letter writing.  We received support from national organizations (National Parks Conservation Association – NPCA), from Virgin Islands organizations (Friends of the VI National Park, St John Historical Society, Coral Bay Yacht Club) and people across the USA who knew and loved Coral Bay.  It had become a MOVEMENT.
